01 - Whisk together soy sauce, honey, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, and black pepper in a small bowl until fully combined.
02 - Place cod fillets in a shallow dish or zip-top bag. Pour marinade over fish, ensuring all fillets are evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes, up to 1 hour for deeper flavor penetration.
03 - Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease a baking dish.
04 - Remove cod from marinade and place fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Discard excess marinade.
05 - Bake for 12-15 minutes until fish is opaque throughout and flakes easily when tested with a fork.
