01 - 2 ripe bananas, peeled and frozen
02 - 1 cup fresh spinach leaves, packed
03 - 1/2 cup fresh kale leaves, stems removed
04 - 1 kiwi, peeled and chopped
05 - 1/2 avocado, peeled and pitted
06 - 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk or milk of choice
07 - 1 tablespoon chia seeds
08 - 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup, optional for sweetness
09 - 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice

→ Toppings

10 - 1/4 cup granola, gluten-free if needed
11 - 1 tablespoon pumpkin seeds
12 - 2 tablespoons unsweetened coconut flakes
13 - 1 kiwi, sliced
14 - 1/2 banana, sliced
15 - Fresh mint leaves, optional
16 - Edible flowers for garnish, optional

# How to Make It:

01 - Combine frozen bananas, spinach, kale, chopped kiwi, avocado, almond milk, chia seeds, and lime juice in a high-powered blender. Add maple syrup if extra sweetness is desired.
02 - Blend until completely smooth and creamy. If mixture is too thick, add a splash more milk to reach preferred consistency.
03 - Pour green smoothie into two serving bowls, smoothing tops with back of a spoon.
04 - Arrange granola, pumpkin seeds, coconut flakes, kiwi slices, banana slices, and mint leaves artfully on top of each bowl.
05 - Garnish with edible flowers if desired. Serve immediately with spoons.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The avocado and frozen bananas create this ridiculously thick, ice cream-like texture without any dairy or added sugars
  • You can literally customize the toppings based on whatever you have in your pantry and it still works beautifully
  • Its one of those recipes that makes you feel like youre taking amazing care of yourself without any suffering involved
02 -
  • The key to the perfect texture is using frozen bananas, not fresh ones—this is what makes it scoopable instead of drinkable
  • Dont be tempted to add too much liquid or youll end up with a smoothie instead of a bowl you can eat with a spoon
  • You need a decent blender to break down the kale completely, or youll get unpleasant green flecks in your creamy bowl
03 -
  • Use the tamper tool if your blender has one to keep things moving without adding extra liquid
  • If your bowl starts melting before you finish eating, pop it back in the freezer for 5 minutes to firm up
