Floral Earl Grey meets sweet strawberries in this creamy milk tea. Perfect hot or iced.

# What You Need:

→ Tea Base

01 - 2 Earl Grey tea bags
02 - 1 cup boiling water

→ Strawberry Syrup

03 - 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and diced
04 - 2 tbsp granulated sugar
05 - 2 tbsp water

→ Milk Tea

06 - 1 cup whole milk or non-dairy alternative
07 - Ice cubes (optional)

→ Optional Garnish

08 - Fresh strawberry slices
09 - Fresh mint leaves

# How to Make It:

01 - Steep Earl Grey tea bags in boiling water for 3–5 minutes. Remove tea bags and allow the tea to cool slightly before combining with other components.
02 - Combine diced strawberries, granulated sugar, and water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook while stirring and mashing the strawberries until a thick syrup forms, approximately 4–5 minutes. Remove from heat, strain out solids if desired, and let cool completely.
03 - In a mixing jug or large glass, pour the brewed Earl Grey tea and prepared strawberry syrup. Stir thoroughly to ensure the flavors are evenly distributed.
04 - Pour in the milk and stir again. Sample the mixture and adjust sweetness by adding more syrup or sugar according to personal preference.
05 - Pour over ice if serving cold. Garnish with fresh strawberry slices and mint leaves. Serve immediately while flavors are fresh.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The floral perfume of Earl Grey dancing with fresh strawberries creates this incredibly sophisticated yet comforting flavor profile
  • It comes together in just 15 minutes but tastes like something from a specialty cafe
02 -
  • Do not boil the milk or it will separate and become grainy instead stir it into the cooled tea mixture
  • The syrup keeps for a week in the fridge so you can make double batches and have this drink anytime
03 -
  • Macerate the strawberries with the sugar for 10 minutes before cooking to draw out more natural juice
  • Use loose leaf Earl Grey if you can find it for a more intense flavor
